Rachel Murphy expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that Toto (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. Rachel says that a hairdresser taped Toto r's jaw shut after the dog had been bitten. As a result, Toto r became bloody and upset.

Rachel recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I first thought was tape turned out not to be a muzzle. Toto r’s paws appeared to be red and inflicted with injuries. The toenails had been cut too near to the paw which probably triggered his biting response."


Wow! My Dog, an on-the-go pet salon, employed the groomer that was responsible for this.

Rachel rushed Toto to a veterinarian immediately for medical treatment. He joined a number of others in accusing Wow! My Dog for animal abuse. As a result, the San Mateo's office has initiated an investigation into the company for potential animal cruelty.

Rachel described the wounds he noticed, saying: "I noted injuries around the joints, the neck, as well as in the genital. The cuts were so deep that they caused blood to flow."

Marianna De las Vegas, a customer of Wow! My Dog, posted a review on Yelp, detailing how his pets were returned to him injured or unwell. Another customer took a Snapchat of a dog appearing to be in pain. They claimed that a groomer inserted an ear napkin by force.
Bad Review

Wow! My Dog, in addition to the bad Yelp reviews and the fact that he was trusted to take care of their pets, animal abuse foundations wants his customers to know what the groomer said. Rachel shared, "Juliann informed me that taping the mouth shut is a normal and acceptable method, claiming it is preferable to using a muzzle, which he believes can be harmful to dogs. He said that he uses the method himself on his dogs.

Gate News called Wow! My Dog and she answered, but then handed the phone over to another woman who told Gate News that they were looking into the allegations. When asked about Wow! My Dog, the woman quickly stated that it is a separate entity. Then she abruptly ended her call.
